She is a native speaker and learnt her songs and tunes from her family and neighbours. Mairéad is internationally known as one of the most important fiddle players that play in the unique Donegal style. Pádraig hails from South Armagh, his wife Róisín from Dublin, but together they make their home in Termonfechin, Co Louth and have been dancing together since they met 24 years ago.
