CCE Canada East Region Annual General Meeting and Céilí

This year’s Canada East Comhaltas Regional AGM will be held in Ottawa at St Brigid’s Centre for the Arts (310 St Patrick Street, downstairs from the entrance on Cumberland), Saturday, 21 October 2023.

Street parking is available as is a covered and well lit City of Ottawa parking garage on Murray street, just steps from St Brigid’s (for <$10 full day).

9:00 to 10:30 – A light continental breakfast is included to Registered Delegates.

10:30 to Noon – Meeting

The AGM, is open to all paid-up Canada East Region Comhaltas members to attend. Only Registered Delegates can vote.

2:00 – 4:00 PM – Workshops (open to public)

There will be cultural workshops in the afternoon, including: set dancing (Maureen Mulvey), uilleann pipes (Ross Davison), banjo/mandolin (Daithí Kearney), singing (Ellen MacIsaac) and bodhran (Stefan Hannigan).

4:00-7:00 PM – Delegates free time. There are many pubs and restaurants serving food near St Brigid’s.

7:00-10:00 PM – Céilí (open to public)

The dance will be called by Maureen Mulvey. The band led by Justin Thériault will provide live music. A performance will be given by the Celtic Cross dancers. Irish soda bread and tea are offered for free at the dance during the break.
